We were recently contracted to rescue this polished concrete floor in Ipswich Suffolk, though the term polished isn’t really accurate, scratched would be more appropriate here.
The clients were left with this terrible finish by cowboy contractors who hired all of the equipment and obviously hadn’t a single clue as to how to use the tools, the correct process and what is expected from a professional concrete floor polisher; shocking.
Our Concrete Polishing Process

Then the after photos
The firstly we needed to remove the excessive amounts of sealer applied to the floor, ironically over applied to try and hide the scratches; it didn’t work.
Once removed we used our range of transition tools to smooth back the surface and remove the problem scratches. The client preferred not to see much aggregate showing through, only finer grades of diamond were used.
Once the floor was up to spec we applied a quality breathable impregnating sealer to the floor to help resist staining, buffing of any excess to ensure a nice smooth finish.
