A polished concrete floor in an old Derbyshire cottage,
unfortunately this floor fell a little foul of the builder (again)
– but we still managed to a decent finish that the client was really happy with.
The concrete consisted of 10mm Trent valley gravel sourced locally to the project, great concrete with huge potential for different effects. We ground the surface paste away to reveal the construction aggregate and began polishing up to an 800 grit satin finish. The polished concrete was finally sealed with our new water based impregnating sealer which doesn’t wear off like topical finishes.
