InfinityFloor Stone Polished Concrete Flooring

InfinityFloor Stone a heavily aggregated concrete floor finish for residential, retail and industrial floors.

InfinityFloor Stone

Our InfinityFloor Stone has been popular for years; one of our floors was featured on Grand Designs (Kensington, Thorne) which naturally looked stunning throughout.

InfinityFloor Stone provides a very dramatic exposed aggregate canvas to your home, retail property or workshop. We have worked on many new build projects and commercial retail units over the years.

In many ways this exposed aggregate look is very similar to some terrazzo installations. Exposed stone concrete floors are hard wearing, each and every floor is unique to the next.

Because the finish is created by grinding away the surface of the concrete to expose the stones contained within the mix, this type of polished concrete floor is very suitable for existing concrete floors or floors which may not have been installed to professional standards.

The average concrete slab needs approximately 3mm to be ground away from the surface to expose a significant level of aggregates, less than this amount and you are heading more towards a salt:pepper finish.

InfinityFloor Stone is available in soft sheen, satin and gloss luxe.

Facts At A Glance

  • You need either a well laid, smooth trowelled existing concrete floor or a newly laid concrete floor to the specification below. If you have a rough surface or a poor quality installation, you will incur higher grinding costs to achieve a desirable finish.

  • It is impossible to guarantee uniformity and consistency of aggregate exposure, some areas will naturally have more visible stones due to installation methods of the slab.

  • Around 3mm of surface material is ground away to expose stones, you can opt for a deeper grind at cost.

  • The colour of your concrete floor is determined by the colour of the sand used in your local area. For a grey floor you need either a colour shake added or a pigment in the concrete mix.

  • Ideally all newly installed concrete floors should be at least six weeks old before we arrive to perform our concrete polishing services.

  • All floors are hardened and sealed with our bespoke ceramic reinforced solvent sealer.

  • Suitable for concrete floors over underfloor heating systems

This polished floor type is highly popular where there is currently an existing concrete floor insitu for example in trade facilities, garages and workshops. Our finished floors are very easy to clean and maintain with simple equipment and a pH neutral cleaner.

Our new ceramic reinforced solvent concrete sealer and surface hardener provides superior protection to oil and water based stains, in addition to great abrasion resistance properties.

InfinityFloor Stone always a dramatic statement!

Final Points

InfinityFloor Stone is our most forgiving grinding and polishing process as it is possible to remove more surface material to make good minor installation problems. Emphasis should always be on having the concrete slab installed professionally.

An exposed stone finish requires the most labour time through deep diamond grinding and scratch removal. There will also be significantly more grinding dust to dispose off in a builders skip for example.

There is much more work involved with this flooring type than both InfinityFloor Cream or InfinityFloor Salt:Pepper.

We have spent years refining our concrete polishing services with continual investment in machinery, diamond abrasive technology and high performance concrete sealers.
