With great clients, good power, access and being relatively local this was a nice polished concrete floor project to work on in Lincoln. The concrete substrate had been laid and power trowelled a few months earlier and left to cure. Overall the installation of the concrete was pretty well done, although it did look as though too much time was spent floating the surface which in turn sent the aggregate lower down into the slab.
We began by grinding off the quoted amount of surface material to remove any installation faults and expose the hard concrete beneath the surface. This exposed a fine smattering of small stones to create a heavy salt:pepper type look. Our grinding tool marks were transitioned away with our ceramic diamond tools before covering the whole floor in CARRcrete PROfill which effectively fills aeration holes and small missing stones
As you can see the concrete floor was polished through to a high gloss and highly reflective finish using our special blend of ceramic resin tools. Finally sealed with our premium impregnating sealer.
A similar look to this floor is achievable with one of our concrete overlay products.
